The wait is finally over! Our cast and crew have officially hit the road with The Bedtime Beastie, and we couldn’t have asked for a more meaningful start. Our first stop was Leicester, where we had the absolute pleasure of performing for an incredible audience of visually impaired children and adults.
At the heart of this production is the belief that theatre should be felt, heard, and experienced by everyone. Seeing the story come to life through music, tactile props, and close-up interaction was a highlight for the whole team.
What Our Audience Had to Say
The feedback from our first performance has been truly moving. Here are a few of our favourite moments shared by those in attendance:

"The audience interaction was really good. I enjoyed that they came right up to us with the puppets. I also really liked the touch tour in the middle; this gave us the chance to feel the props and help understand the story more."
"There were lots of things to feel and touch."
"I really enjoyed watching and singing along to the songs and the music. I enjoyed Beastie going on her little adventure. The colourful bouncy ball was great to play with."
More Than Just a Show

One of the most vital parts of this tour is our integrated touch tour. By pausing in the middle of the performance, we allow our audience to engage directly with the set and props. Whether it’s feeling the texture of the puppets or playing with a colourful bouncy ball, these sensory elements ensure that everyone can follow Beastie’s adventure with clarity and joy.
We are so proud of the cast and crew for their hard work in making this performance so accessible and engaging. Leicester provided a wonderful welcome, and we can't wait to see what the rest of the tour brings!
Stay tuned for more updates from the road!
