The Act Principle
We do more than perform on stage ... We ACT.

At Actcessible, our values are more than words. They are the foundation of how we work and the reason our audiences, partners and participants trust us. We have developed our ACT principle based on our values of interaction - Adaptable. Compassionate. Team Spirited.
Adaptable: We meet every audience with flexibility and creativity. That might mean signing in BSL alongside dialogue, providing audio description for visually impaired audiences, or adjusting our delivery to suit a hospital ward, a classroom or a community space. Adaptability ensures that whatever the setting, everyone can be welcomed into the performance and feel included.
Compassionate: Compassion means more than being kind. It is about interacting with audience members after the performance through delivering lessons, play and discussions, and ensuring that we actively listen and participate in their story, meeting them where they are. Whether it is a child eager to share what they have learned, or an adult reflecting on their own experience, we respond with empathy and respect.
Team Spirited: Collaboration is key to everything we do. As a team of staff, freelancers, volunteers and trustees, we work together for the best interests of our shared goals in equality, diversity and inclusion. Our strength comes from supporting one another, combining different skills and perspectives, and always keeping our mission at the centre. Team spirit means we move forward together.
