Our performances are designed with access in mind, from BSL, touch tours and audio description to relaxed, sensory-friendly shows.

We aim to make space for everyone to feel welcome, inspired, and represented.

No one should be left out of the story.

Every person deserves to feel seen, heard, and inspired, regardless of background or circumstance.

Through theatre, we spark imagination, build empathy, and bring light into spaces that need it most in specialist and mainstream schools, hospitals, care settings, retirement villages and beyond.

Our team includes trained and qualified professionals including actors, playwrights, musicians, safeguarding leads, mental health leads, and educators.

Many have lived experience of disability or neurodivergence.

All trustees and frontline staff, freelancers, and volunteers hold enhanced DBS checks, ensuring safety and trust.

Welcome to Sensory Sunday Week 7

Today we are looking at Trigger Lists.

The "old-school" perspective is that surprise is always fun. We used to think that the shock of a sudden loud noise was just part of the entertainment value.

But we now know that for sensitive people, these surprises aren't thrilling—they are overwhelming.

Today's Tip:

Remove the ambush. A trigger list tells parents and audiences exactly when loud noises or lights will occur, minute by minute. This is critical for actors, too. A list backstage telling them exactly when a scream or explosion happens allows them to cover their ears or mentally brace themselves.

Welcome to Sensory Sunday Week 6

Today we are looking at Visual Schedules.

The "old-school" method was handing out a complex list of times and expecting everyone to decode it instantly. We treated schedules as data, rather than a support tool.

But we know that knowing exactly what happens next helps people feel in control.

Today's Tip:

Swap the text for pictures. Venues can give audiences a schedule with icons for "ticket check" and "show start" so they know the plan. Backstage, a visual call sheet on the wall is much easier for actors to process than a confusing list of numbers.

Welcome to Sensory Sunday Week 5

Today we are looking at Character Introductions.

The "old-school" view was that if a villain is scary, the actor is just doing their job. If you were frightened, you just had to deal with it.

But we know that for some, it is difficult to separate a scary character from the person playing them. The fear creates a barrier to enjoyment.

Today's Tip:

Break the spell before it starts. Show a photo of the actor in everyday clothes right next to their costume.

This simple visual cue helps the audience—and even fellow cast members—see the human behind the mask. It proves it is "just pretend" and creates a sense of safety before the intense scenes begin.
